Hong Kong Februari 2006 en Hong Kong en Langkawi (Malaysia) 5 until 28 February 2007
Hongkong (December 2006 and February 2007)
In February 2007 we visited for the second time Hongkong. The year before we were very exited about this fantastic city.
This time again we went to the famous Po Lin monastery on Lantau Island with and the 23 m high Buddha Statue, but with the newly opened cable car.
At night we visited the Victoria Peak, using the Peak tram, and made some pictures of Hongkong at night.
Also we went into the financial centre, the highest building in Hong Kong to the visitors platform on the 55th floor. A very nice view on the harbour and Hong Kong city. We made a trip to the very nice island Lama with a lot of fish restaurants. Only a half hour with the ferry and you are in a completely different world, very quiet and peaceful compared with Hongkong city.
We visited also the flower market and the bird market, not closed this year of possible bird flue problems and the fish market.
Langkawi, Malaysia (9 until 28 February)
In Langkawi we did nothing, rest, read, listen to music enjoyed massage, having breakfast, lunch and diner at the Frangipani, Unkaizan and surrounding restaurants like Boathouse and Tong Seng.
We visited our friends of Souvenir Shoppee and enjoyed our stay and decided (surprise, surprise) to return again.
